West Clermont Schools Names Cooper Daniels Head Varsity Baseball Coach

CINCINNATI, OH — West Clermont Local Schools is proud to announce the promotion of Cooper Daniels to head varsity baseball coach. A current West Clermont High School teacher and coach, Daniels brings a strong baseball background, championship experience, and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field. His familiarity with the program and relationships with students position him well to lead the next chapter of Wolves baseball.
Daniels has been a member of the West Clermont High School staff since the 2024-2025 school year, where he teaches World History and Intro to Aviation. He has also served as the Wolves' freshman head baseball coach for the past two seasons under former Head Varsity Coach Dave Collins, helping develop the next generation of West Clermont baseball players while building meaningful relationships with student-athletes.
Prior to joining West Clermont, Daniels began his coaching career at Ryle High School in Union, Kentucky, serving as a varsity assistant coach under Head Coach Joe Aylor. During the 2024 season, Ryle compiled a 32-10 record, captured both the 33rd District and 9th Region championships, and advanced to the Kentucky State Baseball Championships.
A graduate of Thomas More University, Daniels earned his bachelor's degree while competing as a member of the Saints baseball program. During his collegiate career, he was part of back-to-back 30-plus-win teams before graduating in 2024.
Before continuing his baseball career at the collegiate level, Daniels was a standout player at Franklin High School under Head Coach Kyle Wainscott. As a member of the 2019 regional team, he helped lead Franklin High School to district and league championships and earned Honorable Mention All-Dayton Area recognition.
"Coach Daniels has already made a positive impact on our baseball program and our school community," said Athletic Director James Collins. "He has built strong relationships with our student-athletes, understands what it means to be a Wolf, and is committed to continuing the tradition of excellence that our baseball program has established. We are excited to see him lead our program into its next chapter."
As head varsity baseball coach, Daniels looks forward to building upon the strong tradition of West Clermont baseball by emphasizing player development, teamwork, accountability, and a culture of excellence. His experience as both an educator and coach reflects the district's commitment to helping students grow academically, athletically, and personally.
West Clermont is excited to continue the success of its baseball program under Daniels' leadership and looks forward to the future of Wolves baseball.
