West Clermont Local Schools Selects One of Its Own for Head Cheerleading Coach

CINCINNATI, OH — West Clermont Local Schools has named West Clermont graduate Hannah Thacker as the district’s new head varsity cheerleading coach.

Thacker has served as an assistant coach since 2023, working with more than 55 student-athletes across the cheer and dance programs, covering all seasons. Her responsibilities have included supporting practices, coordinating game-day needs and helping maintain program expectations throughout the season.

As a former West Clermont student, Thacker brings firsthand knowledge of the program and a strong connection to the school community. Her experience as an assistant coach provides continuity and a clear understanding of the team’s goals.

“Hannah knows our students and our program,” said Athletic Director James Collins. “She’s prepared to step into this role and lead with consistency, care and high expectations.”

Thacker holds a degree in business administration with a focus on marketing from Northern Kentucky University. Her professional experience in communication and project coordination supports her work with the cheerleading program.

West Clermont looks forward to the upcoming season under Thacker’s leadership.
